LOTRO Book 13 review
It's fair to say that 13 may be
an unlucky number for some,
but in the context of the latest
free content update for Lord of the
Rings Online, it's a fortuitous figure
that represents a feature-packed
addition to this popular world. Book
13 - Doom of the Last King brings a
massive new region, a whole new
class, the first hobby and new levels
of social interaction enabled by
excellent tweaks to the interface.
Forochel is the name of Book 13's
new region. It's a beautifully realised
frozen landscape within the desolate
northlands of Eriador, and in it you'll
find an incredible 100 new quests,
plus plenty of improved solo play.
Book 13 represents an attempt to
present higher level players with the
same opportunities for solo play that
Book 9 gave mid-level players, and in
this it succeeds, with many hours of
solo adventure for levels 44 to 50.
