We went to find out what it takes to make a man fly in an exclusive visit which allowed us to grab some exclusive pictures and get the scoop on the new game. Champions Online preview It's not often you get to see a man in lime green spandex battle his way through hordes of armoured dinosaurs to reach the lair of a mad scientist. But in Champions Online that sort of thing is a fairly regular occurrence. Similarly, blasting robot cowboys away with a freeze ray seems like a completely normal thing to do. So yes, Cryptic Studios latest MMO offering can be a little on the crazy side. But then the same could be said of its previous hits – the massively successful City of Heroes and Villains. It would have been easy for Cryptic to take a similar approach for its first MMO which will be simultaneously released on a console, with Xbox 360 players getting the rare chance to join PC owners online. Yet Champions Online is a very different beast – one which is well-suited to console users while still providing the stat-building depth beloved of PC gamers.
