Lineage 2 The Kamael preview

Lineage II expansion pack The Kamael, out in beta now, is set to give the five-year old MMO an update - we've been having a look this month and we think you'd be hard-pushed to know that Lineage 2 had been around for so long, it's holding up well against newcomers in the MMO market. With plenty of extra content and enhancements, the Kamael expansion will be a welcome addition for all Lineage 2 enthusiasts. Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures Beta preview
Warhammer, Age of Conan, Pirates of the Burning Sea, Aion, more WoW: 2008 is shaping up to be a fine year for sophisticated, good looking MMOs. Can the latest expansion pack for Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne save it from looking rudimentary and dated when set against the new breed? Lets deal with the looks part first. While no-one will pretend that the latest add-on pack will have the audience swooning in its chairs, it does a good job of hiding the fact that the game is approaching its fifth birthday.

High-dynamic lighting and more complex modelling bring the new areas of the world to life, including the Isle of Souls, the starting area for the new race, the Kamael. It's a good starting place for the newcomer to Lineage II. The Kamael are by some way the most interesting race in the game now, a race of banished giant killing angels stripped of one wing and finally released back into the world, they ooze sang froid as only a coldblooded, one winged angel armed with a crossbow can.
