Aion: The Tower of Eternity preview

Aion: The Tower of Eternity is the fantasy MMO from NCsoft that has conquered Korea, and is heading this way soon. We've had a chance to get hands-on and play some of the game, exclusively, and we've brought back a quick glimpse into its world, what has been completed so far and how it is all shaping up. From spell casting to map use, Aion is a really polished game and with six months left before release, we think it has all the hallmarks of a success. To find out more, read our hands-on preview of Aion, together with some exclusive screens in this issue of MMOZine.

Aion: The Tower of Eternity preview The story is an ethereal, fantasy-inspired world-split asunder, background-rich online RPG, but that’s not what you meant is it? A recent trip to NCsoft let us get some time with the game, have a quick play around with creating our own Mage character, get to run around the world playing some of the first quests and also get a feel for the gameplay mechanics. As the game has already launched in Korea (to wild success), it means a lot of the development on ‘Westernising’ the game is about polish and translation, so the actual gameplay we’ll experience will be very refined for a launch. In fact, even though we were playing something that they’re not happy to let the outside world see, we can say it’s already very accomplished, and with at least six months to go, we’re expecting a very strong title in Aion.
