Guild Wars Eye of the North review
You're an avid Guild Wars Hero, sunning yourself by the seas edge at Lions Arch when all of a sudden the ground begins to shake. After effect of a bad curry? Of course not, it's a plotline to push in the brand new expansion for the series. So come forth Guild Wars: Eye of the North.

A rumble of the ground and the appearance of some form of non-violent snot monster, the new expansion pack is here. If you started in Lions Arch you will find a crevice in the cliff face just north that you can climb inside and begin the journey. It'll take you to some brand new locations in the GW universe. If you look at the map of Tyria you will see it has magically expanded in size to reveal the new, mainly northern hence the game name, area.

Familiar, but different
Faces of old are back and there are even new races. Consisting of the Norn, these guys are a race of shapeshifting half-giants who dwell in the Far Shiverpeaks. They love nothing better than to change into bears and rip people to shreds. The Asura are a bunch a magic loving, grumpy, big eared gnomes. That description doesn't do them any justice. Wielding a good understanding of the magic arts they can make powerful Golems to crush foe. Destroyers are the bad guys in GW: EON and they're supercharged super powered cockroaches. They have come to crush the world and seem to be the arch-enemy of the dwarves. Not a new race, the Ebon Vanguard are humans who managed to escape from Ascalon like yourself, but they didn't cut through the Shiverpeaks and end up in Lions Arch.
