Trial System Teased for Star Wars: The Old Republic

Published on June 4th, 2012

Players will be able to play up to level 15 for free from July.

Dr Ray Muzyka has revealed that Star Wars: The Old Republic will implement a new trial system this July.

Anyone who is willing to try the subscription-only MMORPG will be able to do so for free up to level 15, at which point they’ll need to subscribe in order to continue that character’s advancement.

BioWare holds regular free guest pass weekends for those who are friends of existing subscribers, so it’s only natural that they are looking to implement a system which lessens the chance of more potential subscribers slipped through their fingers.

Other new features and content was also teased for the online-only game including a new HK-51 android companion, a new planet called Makeb, new space missions, flashpoints and a level cap; raise all of which will be implemented before the end of 2012.

Don’t press that cancel subscription button yet folks, there’s plenty of life in this space dog yet!
