Oh HK-51, how we missed you...

BioWare Austin has committed itself to the lofty goal of adding new content to Star Wars: The Old Republic every six weeks, according to a recent interview with the studio’s GM Matt Bromberg.

“We’re committed to: about every six weeks, doing a major update for the game which would be a new Warzone, a new Operation, a new Flashpoint, a new event — and to doing that on a really frequent cadence, every six weeks. So we’re going to stick to that,” explained Bromberg to AusGamers in an exclusive interview.

BioWare Austin’s new head also explained that The Old Republic’s forthcoming transition from a subscription-only model to free-to-play is still on target for this autumn, and that lapsed subscribers will be given the new Cartel Coin currency in different amounts for fre,e in relation to how many months they’ve already subscribed to the game.

Unfortunately there wasn’t any confirmation on what exactly the in-game store will or will not sell in the interview, but BioWare Austin has previously explained that players will be able to experience all of the game’s story content and classes without paying a penny.

The next big update for Star Wars: The Old Republic is titled, ‘Terror From Beyond’ and is set to go live shortly. It looks pretty epic…
