Most MMOs offer a free trial period, on average ranging from 7 to 10 days of limited access, however Mythic have taken this a step further in Warhammer Online.

Mythic plan to allow players unlimited trial access to the game, meaning you can try out the various race and class combinations as many times as you like and really get a feel for the game.

The current trial period stands at 10 days, with the unlimited trial due soon.

In addition to this offer, Mythic have just released Patch 1.3.2 for Warhammer Online, introducing new content to the game and a large revamp of the starting experience they are calling the 'New User Journey'.

One of the main changes is that all players will start out in the Empire or Chaos zones, dependant on what side they choose, regardless of their race. This means that the starter zones will have a heavier population, allowing for easier grouping and completion of Public Quests.

Mythic have also taken a good look at the tutorial system and this has now seen an upgrade giving new players a more visual walkthrough of the game's features and encounters. The existing help-tips have also seen an update.

As well as the overhauled tutorial they have also added in new chat channels, such as the global Advice channel. Existing and more experienced players can also flag themselves as advisers, allowing others to contact them for assistance.

With the above currently live on servers, the unlimited trial due soon, and now the release of a WAR Mac client, it may be a good time to check this one out if you haven't done so already.
