Taking off in February 2010, Star Trek Online is Cryptic's latest MMO venture.
Being Star Trek it needs very little introduction, and is something that Star Trek fans, and MMO gamers alike, have been waiting for a long time to see.
With only three short months until it's proposed release Cryptic have now provided the minimum and recommended system requirements needed to play the game.

Based on the screenshots and videos released so far, the game looks nice and detailed, but the system requirements aren't too excessive, however if your PC doesn't quite hit the mark you have some time to add in a few upgrades or buy a new rig if you fancy.
The closed beta for Star Trek online is ongoing at the moment with some lifetime and six-month subscribers to Champions Online receiving keys, and the developers having giveaways from their Twitter account.
Hopefully we will see an Open Beta soon, or at least a lot more information once the NDA is lifted.
