There has been rumours about Star Trek Online's release date for months, but today Cryptic and Atari have finally confirmed their intentions. The bold new MMO will hit store shelves in February 2010, according to Eurogamer.

Trailer for the upcoming Star Trek MMO by developers Cryptic Studios, featuring a little of what to expect from this new sci-fi adventure game, including some impressive ships, planets and playable characters.As of yet the official website for Star Trek Online hasn't been updated with the news but we are expecting confirmation from Cryptic or Atari shortly. The February date corresponds with various retailers pre-order pages, which have the long awaited title listed for release on the 2nd.
