Aion - Server Merges and Character Transfers
The long awaited server merges will be taking place very soon.

Aion players have been eagerly awaiting news of server transfers for some time now, and that wait is finally over as NCSoft announced this week their forthcoming plans for server merges and character transfers.
On Wednesday, 7th of July the majority of Aion's servers in the US and Europe will be merged, followed by a window for characters transfers beginning on the 8th and through to the 18th.
NCSoft have provided a list detailing which servers will be merged, and their new name, which you will find below, and they aim to make the process as smooth as possible for all concerned. To help players they have put together a comprehensive FAQ detailing the server merge/character transfer process, which you can find by clicking the link on the right of this page.
Players should have no need to worry as no items will be lost, and all Legions will remain intact following the process, as well as your Legion warehouse.
With any server migration process you will always get some players who are not happy with their new home, and to help with this NCSoft are allowing players unlimited free characters transfers for a period of 10 days, allowing them to move where they want.
Name change tokens will also be provided to players affected by duplicate naming issues, and for a short time players will be able to have both Elyos and Asmodian characters on the same server until they find a new home for one faction set.

Following the server changes, NCSoft have a series of events planned.
"Following the server merge and the commencement of character transfers, we have plans for a number of cool events and contests that will take place both in and out of game. We'll have more information in July, but this is a major undertaking for the community team, so we're excited to see what you think of the result!
We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but our anticipation and excitement is peaking as we quickly approach our one-year anniversary and the release of Aion: Assault on Balaurea. Fly high, Daevas!"
