In-game events are common in MMOs at the moment with WoW's 'Hallow's End', Champions 'Blood Moon' and now, with update 5.6, 'Nights of Lost Souls' comes to Age of Conan.
The event brings new solo and group quests to players in the hunt for the three Lost Souls, with new seasonal rewards such as Fermented Brain Juice that makes your character vomit and become drunk, or the Void Essence that changes their skin.
"The nights of the lost souls are upon us, and those who choose to brave them, may find themselves face to face with those tortured souls of warriors past."
Along with the Lost Souls event, Hyborian adventurers can now enter the The Iron Tower - a level 78 group dungeon situated in the heart of the commons district that brings the final chapter to the story of Tarantia Common District.

The Iron Tower contains new and exciting challenges and players will experience new encounters such as The Executioner, Anoki the Scourge and Desumo.
The Tower will also offer an interesting type of challenge as the difficulty and intelligence of the enemies you face scales the higher you are in the tower, and with a total of up to 14 bosses it should keep players busy.
Funcom have also announced new Veteran rewards for subscribers - offerings points for each month you subscribe to the game, with more points being offered for players who have played for longer.
The points can then be spent on in-game items and perks, such as Hyena companion pets, increased storage bags and, erm...breast enlargements. This may be a disappointment to some players, but they are only for female characters...
With even more features, such as Refer-a-Friend bonuses, discounted subscriptions and the upcoming expansion 'Rise of the Godslayer', Age of Conan has a lot to offer it's existing players, and those thinking of starting a new adventure in a different MMO.
