The free-to-play mount-orientated MMORPG readies itself for a soft launch.

Sevencore is coming to Europe, gPotato Europe have to jump through a few more localisation hurdles than their North American counterparts.
Like a bolt out of the blue, gPotato US has announced that Sevencore will enter open beta on September 6th, with anyone who’s interested in this mount-orientated MMORPG able to get involved merely by creating an account and downloading the client.
“OBT will be open to the public, there is no need for keys or redemption! Simply download the game client available from our website,” states an official post on the Sevencore website.
“Characters created during OBT will be carried over to the live launch of Sevencore.”
Traditionally this kind of ‘soft launch’ is in order to gauge public opinion and whether a game has a future, so we look towards the future of this experience – which was one of the more interesting appearances at gamecom 2011 – with great interest.
Allods Online went through a similar launch last year and that free-to-play game is still going from strength to strength, so don’t write off Sevencore quite yet.
It is worth noting that this Open Beta is for the North American audience specifically, so European players will get some lag if they decide to sign-up. That said, this still represents a good opportunity to sample Sevencore for yourself.
