Today Funcom has delivered the first major content update for The Secret World.
Issue 1: Unleashed is the first of many monthly updates and includes six new missions, a new in-game auction house dubbed ‘The Marketplace’ and the ability to tackle two new dungeons on Nightmare difficulty – be very afraid!

If this new load of content wasn’t exciting enough, Funcom are hosting a free-play event this weekend, allowing anyone interested in The Secret World to jump onto servers and celebrate the game’s one-month anniversary. Access starts on Friday, August 3rd 4pm GMT and ends on Monday, August 6th 7am GMT.
To get involved all you need to do is register at the game’s official website and a free weekend’s worth of subscription-only MMORPG gaming can be yours!
Funcom has always said they have grand plans for their modern-day MMORPG and today we’re finally getting a glimpse of what exactly they mean. Expect plenty of fireworks to fly this weekend!
