ArenaNet and NCsoft have announced that the closed beta selection process for Guild Wars 2 has attracted over one million applicants in just forty-eight hours.
Players could sign-up to be part of the ongoing closed beta for the MMO sequel last week and at peak times over 4,000 players were signing up every minute to secure their testing opportunity.
That’s one spicy meat-a-ball!
“We builtGuild Wars 2with the notion to bring players together to experience what a true online world experience should be, and we couldn’t be more excited with the reception we’re receiving from gamers wanting to get in and play our game,” stated ArenaNet’s president and Guild Wars 2′s executive producer, Mike O’Brien.
Guild Wars 2′s next closed beta event will take place late-March and it seems as though A LOT of gamers out there are chomping at the bit to sample the sequel.
Now if only ArenaNet would announce a release date, then we could get really excited!
