Last opportunity to play ArenaNet’s sequel before launch.
ArenaNet has announced that anyone who has pre-ordered Guild Wars 2 will be able to take part in a special stress test event this evening.
The test begins today at 12:00 PST (21:00 GMT +1) and will conclude four hours later at 16:00 PST (01:00 GMT +1). As per usual with stress test event, players should expect some problems during their gameplay session.
“Unlike previous stress tests, we will be actively working on the game during the event, so you might experience connectivity problems or discover features that are not working as designed. Any issues you experience are a result of the rigorous conditions of the stress test, and are in no way representative of the state of the game at launch. By participating in this stress test, you’re helping us make Guild Wars 2 a better game,” reads an official post on Guild Wars 2′s Facebook channel.
Players will be able to use characters they’ve created for previous beta weekends and we recommend updating the game client as soon as possible in order to avoid delays getting onto servers.
Guild Wars 2 will be released on August 28th worldwide. Expect plenty of coverage dedicated to the highly anticipated sequel in the next issues of PCGZine and MMOZine.
