Codemasters currently “working around the clock” to get the next update online.

F1 Online has all the teams, tracks and drivers you'd expect.
Anyone who has read this month’s MMOZine, will know that we’re big fans of Codemasters first browser-based racer, F1 Online.
Last week the publisher/developer announced that the game would enter open beta on Wednesday, 20th June. Unfortunately that release window was missed and twenty-four hours on the game’s official website still lists access as “coming soon”. What exactly is going on?
“Looks like a lot of you enjoyed the F1 Online: The Game Closed Beta,” states the game’s official Twitter feed. “We’re working around the clock to get Open Beta ready for you!”
Unfortunately there’s no word on when the Open Beta will go live, but an answer to an eager fan’s question has shed light on a potential time-frame.
“We’re looking to get an update out today about when Open Beta starts, but it isn’t starting today,” stated a tweet from Codemasters.
Online experiences are infamously hard to predict, especially when they’re still stuck in the middle of testing, so it’s no surprise that F1 Online’s big public unveiling is being delayed. Here’s hoping the Open Beta goes live soon, as we really want to progress our team as soon as humanly possible.
