It’s that time of year again where everyone starts to get all festive, and Blizzard – with their rather appropriate name, given the current weather conditions around the country – have announced their holiday competitions.
The Holiday Card and Holiday Dessert contests are now open for entries, and you have until the 16th of December to get yours in.
"One Blizzard holiday tradition involves creating a festive greeting card to share the joy of the season… with a unique Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo touch. We’re inviting you to join us in spreading the holiday cheer by crafting a Blizzard-themed holiday card of your own featuring characters or themes from the Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo series."
The rules for the card contest are fairly simple – just design a holiday card based on the Warcraft, Starcraft or Diablo universe – or even all three – and e-mail the entry to Blizzard by the 16th.
The winning entries will also be made available as e-cards that you can send to your family, loved ones, and guildies this holiday season.
"Everyone enjoys the holiday tradition of sharing a meal with family and friends and desserts are big part of the reason why. This year, we’re hungry to see you spread holiday joy from your kitchen by cooking up sweet culinary creations and finishing them off with a Blizzard touch. "
For the Holiday Dessert contest, prepare and decorate a dessert featuring any, or all, of the three Blizzard hits and send a photo to Blizzard.
Previous entries include beer stein cakes, giant castle cakes and desserts modelled on well known PvP arenas.
Blizzard will choose five winners from each contest, and the lucky chosen few will land themselves some cool prize packages consisting of the following:
