Gameforge has announced that Aion’s long awaited transition from subscription-only to a free-to-play payment model in Europe will happen on 28th February.
That’s next Tuesday calendar fans!
“The response we received from the beta players on our free-to-play model was fantastic,” said Volker Boenigk, Aion’s executive product director.
“We can’t wait for the launch so that we can finally offer the game to a broader gaming audience. In the upcoming months our focus will be on working on update 3.0, which we will be launching in Europe in the spring.”
Players who’ve already pre-paid their subscription over the coming months will also be given six AION coins every day until their game-time expires. These coins can be subsequently spent in the in-game store which will offer a load of visual customisation options, XP modifiers and other ways to aid your in-game adventures.
