Better start saving those pennies as this set is pricey!

Today NCsoft has announced what exactly will be in the collector’s edition for .

Guild Wars 2 Collectors Edition Revealed

Right, who else is tempted then?

The set, which is priced at £129.99, includes a hand-painted 25cm status of Rytlock Brimstone, a custom frame with five art prints, 112-page hardback artbook, a ‘Best of Guild Wars 2 Soundtrack CD’ and five in-game items including one Rytlock-themed mini-pet, Golem Bank, Chalice of Glory and an elite skill which allows players to summon Mistfire Wolf to fight alongside them in-game.

All that sounds great but £129.99?! Well, Arenanet’s MMORPG doesn’t require players to pay a subscription fee, so they need to make their money somewhere.

In addition to the Collector’s Edition, there’s also the Digital Deluxe edition (£64.99) which includes the aforementioned in-game items. There’s also the vanilla edition (£49.99) which just includes the game.

Whichever set you pre-order, you’ll be granted access to all future Guild Wars 2 Beta weekends, and access to the game three days before the official launch date, whenever that is, in addition to another in-game item, dubbed the ‘Hero Band.’

Guild Wars 2 is certainly the MMO genre’s golden child at the moment with millions of gamers worldwide chomping at the bit to get into the ongoing closed beta, so we have no doubt that a fair few pre-orders will be made when the initiative opens on April 10th.

Unfortunately a definitive release date has yet to be set for Guild Wars 2, but the smart money is on the game launching sometime during summer.
