Play Funcom’s brilliant modern day MMORPG for free over three days.
The Secret World is ready to show you some crazy stuff...
Funcom has announced that anyone can now sign up to play The Secret World for a free three day trial. There are no restrictions on player activities during the trial and there’s an option to unlock a further two days of extra play if the right criteria are fulfilled.
Basically if players complete 30 missions during their three day trial they’ll bump up their time to five days, and to further sweeten the deal they’ll also receive 1200 Bonus Points (equal to 10 USD/EUR) which can be used to purchase new items or game time via the in-game store.
Furthermore during your time deciding whether you want to subscribe, if you complete the Polaris dungeon you’ll unlock a unique reward dubbed, ‘The Whispering Demon Ring’, which is effectively an experience buffer for the early parts of your character’s playthrough.
Most subscription MMORPGs have some kind of trial service at this point, but The Secret World’s is different as it actively rewards players for delving deep into the game. We really hope Funcom’s conspiracy-fuelled game gets a better crack of the whip with intiatives like this, as there really isn’t another online-only game out there quite like it.
