Those who walk amongst me are given my blessings. The walking wounded receives my prayers of healing, yet I receive no thanks.

Close up!I am here to help but when I, in return, require assistance, there is no one to hear my call.

It gives you wings!Such is the life of a Priest.

Arrival at PandaemoniumSo far, in Aion, my time has been a quiet, solitary experience - the lack of any kind of general chat channel until level 5 makes for an unusual atmosphere in the early levels of an MMO.

The CeremonyI felt, at times, my generous assistance to others went unappreciated. A friendly buff to passing people, or a helping heal to those locked in battle.
Although, in fairness, this kind of player behaviour is not exclusive to Aion - manners and gratitude are dying traits.

Of the two options available to me following my Ascension, I chose the path of the Chanter. I felt the Cleric route, focusing primarily on healing, would be helpful in groups, however it may not be so accommodating to a largely solo play style.
Although not knowing what is ahead for me, I opted for what I thought/hoped would be an easier ride.
I have now arrived in Pandaemonium, the first major city you are sent to upon becoming a Daeva. Here I will be guided through my first steps in preparation for what lies ahead.
My first task was to attend a ceremony where I received recognition as a Daeva. Now I can continue on the levelling journey.
And so, thus begins The Diary of a Chanter.
Over the coming weeks I will document my experiences as a new player not only to the Chanter class, but also to Aion itself.
I hope to experience as much of the content available to me, but first I need to find myself a nice, friendly (noob friendly) Legion to join?
