Hide your hat or shoes in LOTRO

It can't have escaped your notice that your hat in LOTRO might be considered less than fashionable. Mine make my elf look like a teddy bear. And hobbits, in LOTRO lore, shouldn't wear shoes, should they? But, the problem is that hats/helms and shoes provide essential protection and armour, so you can't not wear them. Some even give you enhancements to your abilities so what are you to do? LOTRO allows you to wear the items and enjoy their benefits, but hide them from view so that it appears that your character isn't wearing them. To do this, simply press Ctrl-o for the Options dialog in LOTRO. Then Click on UI settings (User Interface) and scroll down, and you see the tick boxes to decide whether certain items should be displayed or not.
