LOTRO Cloak and Shirt |

I had something of a lucky break today. While trying to fight my way through Dourhand Warriors to find a "Sturdy Dourhand" in order to complete a quest, one of them dropped a cloak. It has an armour of 13, which isn't much, but given my character is still level 9, any protection is welcome. What is the best part, though not surprising, is that as with many RPGs, you can wear both your armour, like a padded shirt and a cloak on top and get the cumulative armour protection.
![]() If you press "c" you can see your character screen and see what items you can wear together and review what you already have on. It also shows you your protection against common damage (someone hitting you) and uncommon damage, like fire. As you can see, I still have relatively little protection, but any protection at these lower levels seems to be able to make a real difference to your ability to survive. With level 10 approaching, I should be able to move up to Medium Armour, though I'm not sure whether that will restrict my bow abilities, which are governed by dexterity, and often in RPGs armour can have a detrimental effect on dexterity.
