Lost in LOTRO

Back onto my LOTRO hobby horse of getting lost in Shadows of Angmar. While doing the quest for filling the cracks in Thorin's arse, sorry, Thorin's Hall, I stumbled around the directions to the caves to find the stones, but finally managed it by asking a passing dwarf. But then I spent hours, literally, trying to find the Hall of Merchants in Thorin's Hall which is where the cracks supposedly are that need filling.

There must be some way of making it easier to find your quest's destination

Only, they're not. Because there isn't such a place as the Hall of Merchants in Thorin's Hall in LOTRO. Finally, I found the place which is past the large statue of the diminutive one and then hang a left pas the trainers. Once past there and heading towards the waterfall, stop and look carefully to your right, and you'll see a way down some steps into a tunnel and in there are several leaks you can fill. There's actually a lot of people down here, so it's worth and explore, but talk about badly signposted.

If the quests are going to rely on the directions given to you in the quest log and give you no help on the map or mini-map, then the quests really need to be written in such a way as to make it easy for you to find what you are supposed to be doing. Wandering around Middle Earth looking for places that aren't exactly as described is frustrating. I hope a future patch tweaks some of the Shadows of Agmar quest logs to make this easier.
