Finding a trainer in The Shire

For some reason I couldn't find the Trainers on the map for The Shire in LOTRO. I'd now levelled up twice in LOTRO since strolling down here and really wanted to sort out my skill as well as adjust some traits, but as far as I could tell, I was in for a long walk back to Thorin's Hall. Before doing that, I summoned up the courage to use the Advice Channel and ask if there were any trainers known of in the area. Twenty seconds later the answer pops up: the trainers are in Michel Delving. Now, I've been around that village before and hadn't spotted any, but I headed south down to it and sure enough discovered there is a Training Hall (and a Vendor's Hall) there. The trainers are inside, which is why they don't show up on The Shire map.The bard was harder to find, but another request sent to the Advice channel, sent me back off to the east and sure enough the bard is sat down there, which allowed me to manage my traits. What I don't know is why the bard's icon wasn’t showing on my map of The Shire. For some reason, many of the map options are there to be enabled on the map in The Shire, but that may just be my game playing up.
