The Quickslots at the bottom of the screen in LOTRO allow you to quickly access your character's skills, and as you level up, you'll need to start adding some to the "Ctrl" and "Alt" Quickslots too. However, the Quickslots aren't limited to your skills.
You can also place items from your inventory in them, so you can add potions for quick healing and your Map Home for any easy way to jet back. I've used it to be able to switch between craft tools, which is a major pain otherwise, but you can also add armour in case you have more than one suit that suits and weapons, so you can arm yourself more suitably should a for demand it. To add an item to the Quickslots bar in LOTRO, simply open up your inventory and drag the item from there onto the Quickslot you want to use. The item will remain showing in your inventory, but will be accessible by using the relevant Quickslot. It's not much, but if you hadn't noticed that you can do this before, it's handy.
