Sonic Chronicles interview DS

Sonic Chronicles interview for Nintendo DS

Bioware + DS + Sonic = WTF? Yes, it's true. Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood is a brand new departure for the blue hedgehog, and it has us very intrigued. In the hands of anyone else, you'd wonder how it could be pulled off, but this is Bioware, the developers of Baldur's Gate, Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights and a string of other classics. If anyone can create a compelling RPG with the Sonic IP, it's them, so we're looking forward to Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood massively. To sate our appetite, we caught up with the developers for an interview to see how the game is shaping up and to find out what exactly to expect from Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.

Assassins Creed review DS

Assassins Creed review for Nintendo DS

Assasssin's Creed Ds version is clearly not going be the same game as the version of Assassin's Creed that stormed the home consoles last year, but you'll be surprised at how much of the ethos of the game they have packed onto the handheld. The DS version of Assassin's Creed is reviewed exclusively in this issue of HGZine. Find out how well the developers have integrated mini-games (torture your informant for info with the touch pad - it's not as bad as it sounds. Or maybe it is). Anyway, read the full review of Assassin's Creed for DS inside.

Jackass The Game review DS

Jackass The Game review for Nintendo DS

In case anyone is unfamiliar with Jackass the TV show, it basically revolves around a bunch of men doing stupid and dangerous stunts in what's basically an escalating series of dares - it's hugely popular because it's funny, with larger-than-life regulars tackling the stunts. Jackass the DS game follows the TV formula, but sadly it doesn't capture the humour, which is a big disadvantage. The game technically ticks all the right boxes - is it enough to make it work and recapture the Jackass spirit? Find out more in our review of Jackass the Game for DS now!

Brain Assist review DS

Brain Assist review for Nintendo DS

Puzzle and educational games are hugely popular on the DS, and Sega's latest creation, Brain Assist, is another twist on the genre. It's a bit of a departure from the likes of Brain Training, both visually and in terms of the game's aims - Brain Assist's collection of mini-games is designed to develop memory and reflexes and concentration rather than all-over brain development. Does Brain Assist stand up to the competition in the educational genre? Find out in our full review in this issue of HGZine.

Sega Superstars Tennis review DS

Sega Superstars Tennis review for Nintendo DS

Sega's biggest stars turn out for Sega Superstars Tennis, and it's a fun and playable game that combines the familiar characters from Sega's history (including Sonic, of course, and Alai from Super Monkey Ball to name but two) with the engine that powered Virtua Tennis 3. We've reviewed Sega Superstars Tennis in this issue of HGZine - and that's not all, we've also been talking to the game's developers, who tell us all about the game, how it came about and what all the different characters bring to the party. All you need to know about Sega Superstars Tennis is right here in this issue of HGZine.
