Wipeout Pulse review for Sony PSP
If it's been a while since you picked up Wipeout Pure then it's likely your reactions have returned to those of a normal person. It's certainly been a while since we indulged, and our first two attempts at Wipeout Pulse's opening course ended in 8th place, a lot of ricocheting off walls and plenty of wondering if they've sped it up.

But the ability to survive Wipeout's courses and react to corners almost before you've seen them soon comes back. If you've never experienced the game before then yes, it is a racing game. But it's also akin to the sort of rhythm action game that can only be won when you've completely zoned out to the rhythm. At Wipeout's fastest speed settings, each short course almost becomes mapped onto your brain as you play them over and over again to get the coveted gold medal.
