Sonic's back - in Sonic Rush Adventure, we have a welcome return for the super-charged hedgehog. This fast-moving platformer takes the best elements from Sonic Rush and Sonic Adventure, giving us a mixture of 3D characters and 2D backgrounds and some of the best gameplay we've seen for a while. If you cast your mind back to the 1990's, you'll remember the argument that swept the nation's playgrounds… ‘ Which is better, Mario or Sonic?'. While in recent years, the answer to this question has been a resounding ‘Mario', thanks to the quality of the plummer's output, this could well be the game that re-ignites the war once more. You see, Sonic Rush Adventure is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant in every single way. And after playing Sonic the Hedgehog on 360, we never thought we'd be writing that about a Sonic game again. The main gameplay is very similar to Sonic Rush (although that's certainly not a bad thing), in that it's a perfect mix of 2D backgrounds and 3D characters, with some blisteringly fast and incredibly enjoyable gameplay.
