The simplest ideas are often the best. And you don't get much simpler than a worm. Over the years though, Team 17 have elevated these unassuming, wriggling spadedodgers agile, war-crazed, bazookapacking, jeering little beasties, intent on blowing one another into early graves more imaginatively than Eli Roth.

Last year saw Worms' debut on the DS and PSP, and it was an enjoyable, if slightly average, attempt. The turnbased strategic team-battler with its short addictive rounds was always going to suit the handhelds, especially for multiplayer bouts, but it didn't do anything new.
