Old Skool Invasion
Forget Virtual Console. Xbox Live Arcade? Pah. If you’re really after a retro fix, you’re far better off powering up your handheld. For starters, there’s Impossible Mission set for a DS and PSP update
this Spring. Twenty-five years on from it s original Commodore 64 release, System 3’s plat former is taking its portable bow, a few years after a planned Gameboy Advance release was shelved. Featuring brand new graphics and sound, this new iteration features the original game, along with a brand new version, and a third mode which combines the first game’s design with the enhanced audio-visuals of the remake. Pretty comprehensive then.
For those unaware of the setting, the brilliantly-named Professor Elvin Atombender has been tampering with national security computers, and it’s up to you – playing a secret agent infiltrating his base – to try and find the missing pieces of a password to locate the professor and foil his plan.
