Sonic Chronicles interview for Nintendo DS
Bioware + DS + Sonic = WTF? Yes, it's true. Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood is a brand new departure for the blue hedgehog, and it has us very intrigued. In the hands of anyone else, you'd wonder how it could be pulled off, but this is Bioware, the developers of Baldur's Gate, Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights and a string of other classics. If anyone can create a compelling RPG with the Sonic IP, it's them, so we're looking forward to Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood massively. To sate our appetite, we caught up with the developers for an interview to see how the game is shaping up and to find out what exactly to expect from Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.

Sonic Chronicles interview for Nintendo DS
We're intrigued by Sonic
Chronicles and when
we're intrigued about
something then we have
questions. Important questions.
Thankfully we found Mark Darrah,
who's working on what could be
one of the most interesting DS
role-playing games yet.
How are you planning to keep the
feel of a Sonic game without the
speed of the originals?
Using familiar environmental elements
from the Sonic title, Sonic Chronicles
will definitely give Sonic fans the same
feeling of speed they look for in a
Sonic title – including the infamous
loop-de-loops.
How many characters from
Sonic's past games are you
hoping to squeeze in?
There will be a wide variety of familiar
characters in Sonic Chronicles, including
Amy Rose, Knuckles, Tails, and Big the
Cat. There will also be some all-new
characters who have never been seen
before in the Sonic universe, like the
dark and enigmatic Shade.
