Patapon preview PSP

Patapon is a truly original game - it's pretty safe to say you won't have seen or played anything quite like it before. At heart it's a squad-based game but with a real difference, with stylised, cartoon graphics and a musical backdrop that you need to keep in time with as you tap out your commands. We're very excited by Patapon, due out in the first quarter of next year, and we've got a first look preview this month with all the latest details of the game.Click here to read the Patapon preview PSP now! Patapon preview for Sony PSP
Earlier this year, the Tokyo Games Show unearthed some gems for Sony's various formats, with the interesting-looking Echochrome getting a lot of attention from several journos. But it's Patapon that has us excited the most. It's from the makers of LocoRoco, and it's quite unlike any game we've seen before. What do we know?
You control a tribe of cartoon circles with arms and legs (bear with us) who perform various tasks at your instruction. The main difference from standard squad-command games is that this is accomplished by tapping out a rhythm on your PSP's face buttons, namely the Square (‘pata') and Circle (‘pon') ones.
