Last but not least is Overgrown, possibly one of the best maps in the original Modern Warfare. A snipers dream and great for big team battles, Overgrown offers constant amounts of action in each area. Another absolute classic to play around with, Overgrown is a seriously strategic map for tactical teams. If you enjoy sniping then this map will be a pleasure to play. Make sure you are aiming for headshots and not rushing your shots, it can make a huge difference to getting a decent amount of kills or getting needlessly spotted.
One of the first things you’ll need to learn is everyone is trying to find a high vantage point. The best one in the game is ontop of the farmhouse. You can easily climb up on here by climbing up on a small dumpster and then again onto the bric wall. Walking up from here you can jump onto the roof of the house and sneak around on top. Of course as people are so desperate to get up there, they will constantly go back up even after being shot down. Keep an eye on the roof and make sure to take out anyone you see on there.
There are two bridges you’ll need to learn as people should out their names during matches. The stone bridge is the bridge by the gas station, the wooden bridge by Grandma’s House and the Barn. Grandma’s house is the 2-story building with the mini-gun on the 2nd floor. This is a great point of reference when instructing other players of what is going on around you.
Grandma’s House is great for keeping an eye on the headquarter point in the Library where you can spam the mini-gun into the window. The library also acts as a good vantage point for picking out enemies who are running into the lower floor of Grandma’s house to nab the headquarter in there.
The main road isn’t used much during team-deathmatch battles, same with the riverbed. Take advantage of this and keep a low-profile when sneaking around these areas. Both routes also provide adequate camouflage.
The Barn and grass knoll (next to the stone bridge) is great for sniping back and forth. If you are hiding in the Barn then I suggest you crouch down on the edge window where the rock is and on the side of the farm field. Keeping prone on the dead tank on the grass knoll is great for sniping as well and particularity hard to see anyone on it.
