It takes less than an hour to reach the credits in Star Fox 64 3D but there’s 15 planets to explore and two endings to see if you want to get the most out of this Nintendo 64 remake.
We’ve taken the time to find journey across each and every sector and planet to piece together this Galaxy Guide to explain which paths lead you where as you venture across the Lylat system.
Star Fox 64 3D has an impressive 25 possible routes through the game and only 11 of these will lead you to the true end boss fight against Mad Scientist Andross.
There are 15 locations across Lylat many of which have alternate routes which change the course of your journey.
For example, the easy route is as follows:
Corneria > Meteo > Finchina > Sector X > Titania > Bolse > Venom
The Harder Route often requires you to meet a secondary objective which at times isn’t as obvious as it looks. The Hard Route is as follows:
Corneria > Sector Y > Aquas > Zoness > Sector Z > Area 6 > Venom
Anyone wanting to see the game’s real ending will have to make sure they use whatever path to make it to Area 6 before reaching Venom.
Below you’ll find details on what paths are available on each level and how to access each one:
Corneria
To get to Sector Y: Save Falco when the scenario arises and pass through all the arches across the water and you’ll divert your path to an alternate end boss fight with the Attack Carrier. Defeat it and you’ll be whisked off to Sector Y.
To get to Meteo: Don’t save Falco or fail to pass through all the arches and you’ll be taken to Meteo at the end of the level.
Meteo (Easy Route)
To get to Katina: By flying through all seven warp-gates in Meteo, players will bypass the end of level boss and be taken to Katina.
To get to Finchina: Miss them and you’ll have to deal with the Meteo Crusher and then continue onto Finchina.
Finchina (Easy Route)
To get to Solar: Defeat Star Wolf in time. If you’re successful in seeing his entire crew go down and are able to deactivate the bomb hidden in the base then you’ll be diverted to the scorching hot planet ‘Solar’.
To get to Sector X: Fail against Star Wolf and fail to stop the bomb
Sector X (Easy Route)
To get to Sector Y: When the path splits, you’ll want to head left if you want to warp across to Sector Z.
To get to Titania: Head right when the path splits leading you to a boss fight with Spyborg and onto Titania.
Titania (Easy Route)
To go to Bolse: Titania has no branching paths so completing it will take you straight onto Bolse.
Bolse (Easy Route)
Once you reach Bolse, you’ve secured the easy ending to Venom.

Katina (Normal Route)
To get to Solar: When a large enemy ship appears shoot at the enemies that spawn out of it until the ship’s core is revealed. Destroy it to continue onto Solar
To get to Sector X: Fail to destroy the ships core to reach Sector X
Solar (Normal Route)
To get to Macbeth: There’s no alternate path to take. Finish the level to progress to Macbeth.
Macbeth (Normal Route)
To get to Area 6: Hit all eight switches in the latter portion of the level then hit the switch to change the rails.
To get to Bolse: Fail to divert the train and you’ll be lead to Bolse.
Venom (Easy/Hard)
All routes eventually lead to venom and the final showdown with Andross.

Sector Y (Hard Route)
To get to Aquas: Score 100 or more hit points
To get to Katina: Score fewer than 100 hit points in the Sector Y level
Aquas (Hard Route)
To get to Zoness: Finish the level to progress onto Zoness
Zoness (Hard Route)
To get to Sector Z: Destroy all of the searchlights across Zoness. Missing one will turn all the lights red confirming you failed the task.
To get to Macbeth: Fail to destroy all the search lights on Zoness.
Sector Z (Hard Route)
To get to Area 6: Destroy all of the missiles that threaten to Great Fox and you’ll be sent to Area 6 to get the true ending to Star Fox 64 3D.
To get to Bolse: Fail to destroy all the missiles and your path will be diverted to Bolse for the easy ending to Star Fox 64 3D.
Area 6 (Hard Route)
To get to Venom: This level will always lead you to Venom to face Andross.
