Stranger missions are optional side-quests that can earn you fame and honor as well as bag you some extra cash. We’ll be adding to this guide regularly so be sure to check out the main Red Dead Redemption guide page for other Stranger Missions and tips.
This mission is called “Poppycock” and is unlocked when you complete the main mission “Civilization, at any price.”
Where to find it?
In the town of Chuparosa you’ll find Uriah Tollets (find him by following the ? icon.)
Task
You have to pick up a package from the dock near to the dangerous area of Nosalida and then deliver it to estate of El Matadero.
Tips
You first need to head for the chest on the docks near to Nosalido. It will be represented by a ? icon when you get there. There are plenty of hostiles here so bring along with you some Dead Eye replenishing items and plenty of ammo in case you need them. You don’t need to kill all of the enemies. You just need to get to the chest, get the package and get out of there. When you grab it get to El Matadero and give to the foreman. He’ll give you $1000 in return. You’re then supposed to bring this back to Tollets in Chuparosa but noone wants to give away that sort of cash.
When you do get back to Tollets, give him the money and you’ll receive 500 Honor points and 50 Fame Points. Out of sight, equip yourself with the bandana and then go back and kill him. Take back your $1000 dollars without the fear of losing honour and vacate town sharply before the bounty hunters come looking for you.
You’ll also earn Reyes’ Rebels outfit Scrap 2 when you complete this mission.
