Check out this complete guide for a safe passageway through Year 2, Level 3 of LEGO Harry Potter.
You need to brew another potion by placing the items into the cauldron. This time you’ll need to get a black wig, a cherry and an apple. Let start off with the easiest first.
Item 1 – Wig – Use Wingardium Leviosa on Crabbe And Goyle who are lying on the floor. The wig will drop.
Item 2 – Cherry – There’s a small red wheel in the corner of the room. Attach it to the piping and then turn the wheel.
Item 3 – Apple – Stand on the toilet lid, the one of the far right and then cast Wingardium Leviosa on the wheel above. Leap across the toilet seats to the left and one will break. You’ll have to build a couple of objects before the apple falls to the ground.
Now drink from the cauldron! You’ll be out of the room now. Throw the three chicken legs (we think they’re chicken legs) into the water and they’ll be a short cut-scene. There’s an alcove at the front of this area where you’ll see some green vines, burn them and use Wingardium Leviosa. You’ll then construct a pipe to conjure up a snake. The snake will appear from underneath the drain covers. You need to shoot it a few times and then you’ll get the parts to construct a LEGO man in the middle of the room who will turn off the water supply enabling you to know go through the exit.
In the next room, there’s a Student In Peril to rescue standing on the table on some bottles. Use Wingadium Leviosa on the surrounding objects to make the painting come alive. Wave at the painting and the wizard will shoot the bottles. If you activate all the street lamps in this room you’ll also gain another piece of the Hogwarts Crest. Head for the large ball in the room and use Wingardium Leviosa on it to conjure up a fish. Follow it and then cast the spell to make a skull. Cast the spell again and you’ve finished the level.

Yeah I need the DS version and I can’t find it anywhere. I’m stuck where crabbe and goyle have to get past filch! Help please

On the DS, to get past filch on that part, you gotta run very quickly behind the big statue that’s near him patrolling and pull it back as quick as possible. Took me forever to get the timing right.
I am stuck at the same point how do you pull the statue?
um to pull the statue you have to touch it with your styalis (sorry about the bad spelling) on the side were the rug is and then once crabbe or goyal walk up to it walk backwards using either the control pad or your styalis
I cant get past the on the last level of 2end year were your on the wall and the head and teal are sticking out
im sorry but i couldnt help laughing when it said chicken legs

Tom Riddle’s diary is not a choice I can make when I want to replay levels. Anyone know where it is?
Arlene you must have quit the level early without finishing it, there is no way to get Tom riddle’s Diary on the notice board if you haven’t played the level all the way through, if you want to finish the game then you will have to restart the whole game again which is what I had to do.
Also everyone be warned, at the end of the game make sure you have completely finished getting all the characters etc. in hogwarts before getting voldemort in knockturn alley otherwise afterwards when you continue story in the leaky cauldron you just keep returning to knocturn alley and can’t get back into hogwarts.
