Another spell to learn! This time you’ll be able to shoot down pixies by stunning them with the Immobilus spell. Check out this guide on how to complete Lockhart’s lesson successfully.

Before you get to the Immobilus lesson with Lockhart you’re going to have to get through the courtyard. There’s a wardrobe on the wall on the West Side of the courtyard. You’ll get some ear muffs from in here that will block the noise made by Mandrakes. If you move over to the East Side of the courtyard you’ll see some students casting spells at a mandrake. Go over there and pick up the Mandrake. Just to the right of the students, in the main courtyard area, you’ll see a pot where you can plant the Mandrake. The students applaud and one of them moves aside so you can access the exit.

When you get into the main hallway of Hogwarts you’re going to need to get up the stairwell on the left hand side, but it’s blocked by a sheet of reinforced glass. There’s a mandrake at the bottom of the stairs. You’ll find a wardrobe with the ear muffs at the top of the stairs on the right hand side of the hallway. While you’re upstairs follow it around to the right and gain a Lee Jordon Character Token by striking the gold statues. You can also gain a Hannah Abbot Character Token by activating all of the fiery torches on the walls.

Now you’ve got the ear-muffs, pick up the mandrake and carry it to the glass wall which will now shatter. You can plant it now in a pot at the top of those stairs. Remember you can use Mandrakes to break any glass, you’ll see plenty of opportunities to use its power on the rest of your adventure. Head through the door and into Lockhart’s Immobilus Lesson.

Target, freeze and then shoot those darn pixies

You’re going to have to tackle two waves of Pixies flying around the room. You’ll need to target them individually. You have to Press ‘B’ or Circle to freeze them in the air and then press it again to kill them. It can be a little bit awkward, especially after you’ve killed the first lot and more arrive the second time. It’s best if you don’t use your thumb to press the buttons but use two fingers instead so you can target and shoot at the same time. You’ll gain a Gold Brick for your efforts and can now use Immobilus on any pixies that you see.
