LEGO Harry Potter Walkthrough – Year 1, Level 2: Herbology Lesson, Rescue Ron

Published on July 3rd, 2010

has got himself into a bit of bother during . Check out this guide which tells you what you need to do to rescue him!

This objective involves rescuing Ron who has been captured by a plant during the Herbology lesson. This took us ages to get past! You need to target all plants will your Lumos Solem charm. Remember to use your target, ‘X,’ to aim directly at plants and be sure you don’t hit your teacher otherwise she’ll hit back. Most of the plants are on the windows at either side of the greenhouse. You’ll know when you’ve got them all because at the front of the greenhouse by the entrance you’ll see some bricks that you can construct into a trolley. If the trolley isn’t there you haven’t finished. If in doubt target everything in the greenhouse, apart from the teacher, until you see it.

Switch to your Wingardium Leviosa spell and construct the trolley. Now jump on it and you’ll ram through the blocked entrancce and be able to rescue Ron by firing at him. You’ll get a Gold brick for your efforts and upgrade Lumos to the more powerful Lumos Solem.

We’ll be adding to our LEGO guide over the coming weeks, so be sure to check out the main Harry Potter page for more information and to continue the walkthrough

Dan – Head for the main entrance hall or Great Hallway. Look out for the Ghostly Figure and then follow his trail of studs. He’ll lead you to the classroom. You have to walk up to the ghost before he starts to move

Do you mean the objects with the red sparkle around them? You need to be a dark wizard character, like Snape.

Well my trolley did nothing. I’m totally stuck. I can’t reach Ron at all.

The trolley is the key. After it explodes, you can put it back together with pieces you get off of the plants. Just make sure you destroy all of the plants!
