Objective
Defeat the summoned beast
“If you will not serve me in life, then you will serve me in death.”
Consider the T-Rex to be your first big boss battle. There’s no set way to complete this mission. You’re confined to a fairly small area of land where you’ll see 22 stone columns and three traps. Lure the T-Rex into the traps and trigger them at the right time and you’ll defeat him. There are also smaller enemies to contend with. It’s best to equip your assault rifle or shotgun throughout this level to take out the smaller enemies, but switch to your spear to trigger the impact switches swiftly. Don’t bother shooting at the T-Rex, you’ll barely penetrate his armour. Instead concentrate on luring him toward each trap by standing in the middle of them, or the opposite side to where he’s standing so he has to come across the trap to chase you.
Keep your distance from the T-Rex at all times. He has two types of attack. He’ll charge at you, but you can easily use your dodge move to skip out of the way, or he’ll breath fire at you. If you’re not a safe distance away you’ll get burnt.
The first trap is located just in front of where the T-Rex is let loose and requires you to stand on a pressure pad to activate the spikes. This is the easiest trap to trigger so do this first. When smaller enemies attack see off their threat as a priority otherwise they’ll keep following you and attacking you until you do so. The other two traps are located on the East and West sides of the maps and you need to activate the impact switches to set them off. Note – Once you’ve used one spike trap you won’t be able to use it again.
To complete the Reward Challenge for smashing all 22 columns, circle the main area making sure you check the corners for every column. Just lure the T-Rex in the direction of all the columns and you’ll soon take down all 22 of them. The smaller enemies will sometimes help you out to if they’re chasing you by shooting down the columns.
To complete the Score Challenges destroy everything you see and be sure to head up the steps on the North and East side of the maps. As soon as you head up these stairs a cluster of spiders will attack giving you presssush points when you kill them.
The ten red skulls are all confined to this small area so they’re easy to find. There are only a few red skulls that may be tricky to find.
1) On the side of the bridge where you spawn check the river bed to the west to find a skull. Now head East from the bridge into the water and check the undergrowth around the edges to find a skull.
2) Blow up the columns and the trucks in the SouthWest corner of the area with the T-Rex to reveal a red skull.
3) Head up the steps to the North where you’ll find the spiders. There’s a red skull there.
The rest of the skulls can be found near to the spike traps and when you destroy columns.
