Objective
Open the gate to Xolotl’s stronghold

Right at the start of the mission you’ll gain access to a map of the area. The aim of the level is to open up the main gate that leads to Xolotl’s stronghold, but first you’ll have to get the keys from the
three super shield demons. Follow the path until you come across the rolling ball. Before you get it move West and blow up the TNT crate next to the wall. This will blow the wall away so you can move down this new path where you’ll find a red skull surrounded by gems. Now go back to the ball, pick it and roll it across the bridge. A shield demon will attack. Remember you can break his guard with a rocket or grenade launcher! As soon as you cross the bridge you’ll reach a clearing and will be attacked again. Look out for the TNT barrels in the area to catch the enemy unaware and remember you need to blow up the skeletons with a bomb if you don’t want them to regenerate.

Push the ball through the archway and drop down. You can pick up the High-Power Shotgun here, which will come in handy for the final battle on the final level. It’s also very efficient at taking down Fire monsters quickly. Place the rolling ball in the fiery hole and collect the Health Power-Up. Up the ramp and you’ll see that there’s an area blocked off with fire, so head in the opposite direction until you meet up with Xolotl who has a few not-so-kind words to say.

“Is this not beautiful. This is the world I’ve known for the past 2000 years. My prison has become my kingdom and soon it will be your grave.”

Here you’ll face a battle with the first of three gatekeepers. Blast his shield away with a rocket or grenade launcher and then use the High Power Shotgun to take him down swiftly. There’ll be fire lizards and skeletons attacking you at the same time. If you need a bit of breathing space back down the ramp and keep your enemy in front of you. There are urns in the area hiding ammo and health upgrades so shoot everything you see. Once he’s dead you’ll see a gold key, pick it up. Now you need to find two more gatekeepers.

You can now move into the area that was previously blocked with fire. As you press forward watch out for the two fire monsters that attack you from either side. Enter the first Challenge Tomb.

Challenge Tomb
Place the rolling ball on the pressure pad to bring the stone pillar to the ground. Place a bomb next to the rolling ball. Now stand in a position straight opposite from the golden grapple ring. Grapple onto it, but don’t move. Now detonate the bomb and the pillar will lift you up so you can grab the Clay Serpent.

Out of the tomb and down the small flight of stairs. You’re moving into the area here known as the Arena on the map.

Break two shields with 1 truck

There’s an overturned truck dead ahead. You need to lure the shield demons toward it and blow it up when they’re close to blast their shields away. Stand near to it and place a bomb. Jump out of the way when they’re close and detonate it.

There’s a red skull in this area! Into the arena, be careful not to get burnt by the rotating stone statue heads. The next super shield demon encounter is about to happen. Use the same tactic as before to beat him and try not to move around too much otherwise you may get caught in the flames from the statues. When he’s dead pick up the key and get the three red skulls in the Arena. There’s one by each of the two stone statue heads on the East, West and North side of the Arena. The second challenge tomb is situated on the top of the cliff by the Northern statue head. To get to it you need to embed a spear into the cliff face and then jump and grapple onto the gold ring.

Challenge Tomb
As soon as you step on the pressure pad, head straight to the centre of the room and place a bomb on the left hand side of the pole in the centre of the room that has the spinning ball attached. Detonate the bomb when the ball is facing directly down or South. This way you should get the ball into the hole first time and complete the challenge “Achieve A Hole-In-One.” You’ll also now be able to get the Ammo Power-Up.

Exit the tomb, jump down the cliff and continue to the West to leave the Arena.

At the end of the broken bridge grapple onto the gold ring above. Climb up and then wall run to jump onto the other bridge. To get the red skull you need to plant a spear into the wall so you can climb up. Continue across the bridge. Watch out for the fire balls raining down on you! Head back to the area by the main gate and keep moving West up the steps. Before you enter the Crypt there’s a red skull just outside to the South by the rotating statue head.

Into the crypt and you’ll see a fire pit next to the munitions pile. This is where you need to get the rolling ball to complete the challenge “Get the first spinning ball into the pit in 15 seconds.”. The challenge won’t begin until you free the rolling ball. Head to the far West of the crypt and you’ll see the ball spinning on a pole. Place a bomb near the centre and try and time it so that the ball blasts towards the route that you’ll be taking back to the fire pit. This will give a vital couple of seconds that you’ll need to complete this challenge. Roll the ball like crazy to the fire pit. You can also use the ball to knock out and kill enemies on the way.

Hop over the plugged fire-pit and take a left. There’s a red skull right in the middle of the corridor but watch out for the fire demon that attacks when you move forward to get it. Double back on yourself this time heading right or East past the plugged fire pit. There are two more red skulls in this section. Keep hugging the wall and moving around the perimeter of the maze and you’ll find one skull in the bottom right corner and one in the top right corner. Find the centre of the maze where you’ll see a rolling ball and a pressure pad. Place the ball on the pressure pad and you’ll open a portcullis just to the North where you can pick up an Ammo Upgrade. Fireballs rain down and will knock the ball off the pressure pad and close the portcullis if you’re not fast enough to grab it. Put the ball on the pad just after a heavy fireball storm and then use sprint to the Ammo Upgrade before the it shuts.

Now roll the ball to the far West side of the crypt. You’ll find another fire pit to place the ball into. Jump across the pit and you’ll face the final gatekeeper. Kill him using the same tactic as the others and pick up the key. Move to the left after killing him, hugging the far Eastern wall and moving South toward the entrance. You’ll see a Dark Drum sitting on a pressure pad. Pick it up and activate the pad to continue through the gate. Head out of the crypt and to the main gate which will now be open.

“This is Xolotl’s stronghold. Not quite what I expected, says Lara.”

Xolotl appears.

“You are too late Totec,” he shouts. “Behold the sunrise is upon us. This world will crumble at my feet and you will be the first to die.”

Mission complete. You will unlock Lara Croft Biker’s Outfit.

Note- If you complete the highest Score Challenge you’ll unlock the Golden Shotgun, which is the perfect weapon for the final battle against Xolotl in the next level.
