Almost all the drops in the Return to Ostagar DLC are nothing more than vendor trash (only one extra named weapon in it), so really, you need to know whether the King Cailan armour is worth it for you. We’ve got the stats of all the pieces and the stacking bonus for using the whole King Cailan set.

The entire King Cailan Armour Set and shield equipped, from Dragon Age: Origins, Return to Ostagar DLC.
The armour drops in pieces from several of the leaders in Return to Ostagar. Here’s how each of the individual pieces stack up:
King Calian’s Helm
Tier 7
Requires 42 Strength (Magic for Arcane Warrior)
Armour: 3.75
Fatigue: 3.9%
Stats: + 1 Armour, +10 Mental Resistance
King Calian’s Gauntlets
Tier 7
Requires 42 Strength (Magic for Arcane Warrior)
Armour: 3.13
Fatigue: 3.9%
Stats: + 1 Armour, +15% Critical/Backstab damage
King Calian’s Breastplate
Tier 7
Requires 42 Strength (Magic for Arcane Warrior)
Armour: 21.88
Fatigue: 27.30%
Stats: + 1 Armour, +15 Physical Resistance
King Calian’s Greaves
Tier 6
Requires 38 Strength (Magic for Arcane Warrior)
Armour: 3.15
Fatigue: 3.75%
Stats: + 1 Armour, +20% Dodge
This is the armour set: you need to equip all four pieces in order to get the armour set bonus, which is a reduction to fatigue and a bonus to health regeneration. It has a total armour of 37 when equipped, which comprises your initial 1 Armour, 32 Armour from the base stats, plus 4 from the bonus stats (+1 Armour on each piece). The total fatigue rating with just these four equipped is just 23.9%, which drops from the 48.85% that they should show in total with natural fatigue. In other words, it’s a 25% reduction in fatigue.
For magic users, or players who use skills a lot, the fatigue rating will be important as it is the amount extra that casting costs for wearing the armour. This is very low with King Cailan’s armour, and may answer the question of whether King Cailan’s armour is worth it for a lot of players.
In addition to the armour set though, you will also find King Cailan’s shield. You don’t need to equip the shield to get the set bonus, but you may want to, as the stats are pretty good:
King Calian’s Shield
Tier 7
Requires 42 Strength (Magic for Arcane Warrior)
Defence: 4.0
Fatigue: 4.16%
Missile deflection: 7.50
Strength modifier: 1
Stats: + 1 Armour, chance to avoid missiles
