The Active Camo ability is perfect for those who like to sneak around, or get a thrill from ambushing unsuspecting enemies. Check out this guide on how to use the Active Camo ability effectively.
It’s important to note that you can be seen when running when Active Camo is activated. It’s energy will also deplete quicker when you’re on the move. You’re still hard to spot, but you can faintly be seen. If any weapon that gives off a glow is fired toward you then you’ll also be flagged up, this includes plasma launchers and plasma pistols.
When you active the camo the motion radar gets disrupted on your screen and the enemies screen. This makes it hard to tell where enemies are located, but also ensures they don’t know where you are. Activate it, just as you spot an enemy on the radar and know their location. This way the disrupted motion tracker won’t cause you a problem.
Active Camo is most effective when standing still and ambushing players. If you have a power weapon, such as the Rocket Launcher, it will come in extremely handy. Vehicles will drive past you without knowing you are there and you can let rip. It’s also useful if you’re camping in a sniping position and don’t want to get spotted. Use Active Camo frequently as a sniper and you’ll rack up the kills.
There’s nothing more annoying to an enemy than being invisible and having the Energy Sword in your hand. You’ll be able to get one hit kills while enemies are totally oblivious as to your whereabouts.
Active Camo is useful for escaping a situation quickly and disappearing into the distance, or getting into the heart of an enemy base without being seen. Use it in Capture The Flag matches to get into the base.
The only real way to counter the active camo is to keep an eye out for disruption on your motion tracker. This is a clear sign that someone is close. Watch for their movements, when you shoot they’ll turn visible for a few seconds and then you should be able to track their silhouette.
