Mistpeak Valley
Look at the Mistpeak Valley map. Above the Demon door are two cave entrances. Head to one up the hill, called Chillbreath Cavern. There are plenty of spots to dig for treasure in the cavern. Head upwards toward the exit at the peak. When you leave the cavern go down the small hill and you’ll see the gold key hidden in the ruins.
Driftwood
First up, to get to Driftwood you need to complete the “Restoration” side quest which can be found in Millfields. After repairing the bridge you can enter Driftwood and carry out the three main sidequests, titled Giftwood For Driftwood, An Island Getaway and Pest Control. Leave and come back to the area and you’ll see the floating orb (Flit Switch) on an island across a bridge. Hit the flit switch and then follow it up the mountain. There’s a warp area at the top that will bring you to the gold key.
Aurora – Shifting Sands
Complete the main storyline quest called “A Key To A Greater City” and you’ll unlock the Aurora area. You’ll come across a man who issues you with a quest and allows you to buy a key. Get the key and go to shifting sands right over the far side over the dunes. Keep to the cliff face left and get to the ruins. Head down the ruins and use the key to unlock a new area. Here you’ll find the Gold Key.
Aurora – The Veiled Path
In Aurora (see above on how to access it) head to the Veiled Path and take the stairs on the far side to the entrance of The Enigma. There’s a flit switch in the room just above the door. After using the fireball gauntlet to light all the torches in the next room you’ll be in the area with multi-coloured floor panels. You need to step on them in a certain order – the flames on the wall tell you the answer. The solution is: Yellow, Blue, Yellow, Red, Blue, Red, Blue, Red. Head through the door and you’ll find the gold key.
