To beat the lumbering and powerful Hulk Zek, you’re going to need to predict his movements. Check out this guide for tips and strategies on how to beat the first of the two boss battles you’ll encounter in Singularity.
Note: The bright blue circle glowing in the centre of Hulk Zek’s body is his weak spot.
There are health packs and ammo that you’ll find on either side of the fighting arena and you can also pick up a Volk S4 Shotgun and an AR9 Valkyrie from the two dead soldiers lying on the floor.
First up, Hulk is going to throw barrels at you, so using your telekenisis power to throw them right back at him. Just target them and send them flying back. Hulk is a tricky customer, he’ll keep disappearing and warping to new points in the room. Keep on the move constantly otherwise he might take you by surprise from behind. Keep the camera circling the room until you spot him and then get ready for that barrel to come your way. You’ll have to do this three times. When he appears injured move up close and shoot his blue glowing spot. The shotgun that you can pick up from the dead soldier is very effective.
He’ll be angry now and disappear while his minions run at you. They’re easy to dispose of, especially with the shotgun. Keep your back to the wall so you can see them coming from all directions and pick them off one at a time. Now Hulk comes back and this time he’s got a club. Tease him by getting quite close, this will encourage him to pound the club at you. When you see him go to swing the club get out of the way! His club will stick in the ground and you can then move to his side and shoot the blue circle, which has now moved to another point on his body. Once you’ve done this a couple of times more of his minions will arrive again, so see them off the way you did earlier.
Now the action gets a little more frenetic. Hulk will attack you with barrels and with his club, so you need to combine the two strategies from before to defeat him. Notice, this time his weak blue spot is on his head. Do as you did before, get up close when you see him struggling and blast away!
