Here is the second and final part of our Dead Rising 2 guide aimed specifically at showing you exactly where all those pesky magazines are. Operating much like modifiers, players can use these literary tools to increase PP, make weapons last longer and increase health whenever they are in your inventory. The locations for the final fifteen are listed and shown below, be sure to click the pictures for a much bigger perspective:
South Plaza:
14. Building
Enables construction items to last 3 times as long
Location: Check the scaffolding overhanging the long pathway between the first and second of the three statues.
Atlantica:
15. Games
Entertainment items last 3 times longer
Location: In the video poker room (2 semi-circles on the map) on the seating by the camera.
16. Drinking
Allows copious amounts of alcohol to be drunk without being sick
Location: Head towards the giant illuminous Poker sign, north of Sipparellos. For there use the movie advertising hording to get onto the platform directly below the sign and jump on the octopus looking light fixture. Walk to the nearest tentacle where you’ll find a sword and shield weapon combination, as well as the much sought after magazine.
Fortune Park:
17. Domestic
Furniture items last 3 times longer
Location: Inside the maintenance shed in Fortune Park, on the shelving unit to the right.
Palisades Mall:
18. Gambling 3
Significantly increases chances of winning at gambling
Location: Stan’s Large Print
19. Horror 2
25% PP boost when killing zombies
Location: Stan’s Large Print
20. Sports
Sports items last 3 times as long
Location: Stan’s Large Print
21. Combat
10% boost in PP from using weapons
Location: Stan’s Large Print
22. Amusement
Toy Items last 3 times as long
Location: Inside the Ultimate Playhouse shop, right of the entrance by the magazine rack
23. Playboy
Get 10% PP bonus from any action which involves female survivors
Location: The upper level of the water slide in the middle of the pool.
Platinum Strip:
24. Psychos
25% PP boost from defeating psychos
Location: Look for a vending machine outside Cash Gordon’s casino, climb on-top of it, jump to the adjacent roof, make your way to Platinum Screen’s roof, where you’ll see the magazine as well as a stash of cash and a LMG.
Fortune City Hotel:
25. Skateboarding
Gain a new trick and boards last 3 times longer
Location: Coffee Table by reception, nearest exit to South Plaza
Silver Strip:
26. Leadership
Survivors fight more effectively
Location: Inside One Little Duck Bingo hall, beside the announcer’s table next to the mechanical ball drawer.
27. Gambling 3
Significantly increases the chances of winning whilst gambling
Location: Shamrock Casino, behind bar at the end of the main floor.
28. Juice Boost
Consumed Juice lasts twice as long
Inside the outside bar east of Luaii Waiiwii.
