As we enter Inner Persephone we come, at last, to the tenth, and final, part of our Bioshock 2 single player walkthrough.
New Goal: Head to the Docking Platform.
Eleanor asks you to head upstairs, quickly, so simply follow the arrow and head upstairs to get to the docking platform.
New Goal: Get to the Holding Wing.
Follow the arrow to the right-hand side of the room, and go up the stairs. Make sure you hack the First Aid Machine on your way as plenty of Splicers will be running through here later on, and you don’t want them healing up.
As you turn at the top of the stairs, get your hacking tool ready, as there is a Turret in the centre of the upper platform. Hack the turret from a distance.
You will be attacked by a bunch of Splicers up here. Use the plasmid to summon Eleanor if you need it, but you should manage without too many problems.
Buy any upgrades you want/need from the Gatherer’s Garden machine on the wall before you head through the door into Inmate Processing.
In order to get through the locked door, use your remote hack tool to hack the door control machine through the broken window of the office.
Go through the door, and follow the waypoint arrow along the corridor.
Head in to the Security Checkpoint B office, and press the button to the right marked Prisoner Admittance Button.
It’s time to be reintroduced to Sinclair, but he doesn’t look like you remember him.
New Goal: Get the Key from Sinclair.
Head out of the security office, and turn left to go through the door that has just opened. Follow the waypoint arrow to chase after Sinclair.
As you descend the stairs, and turn through the doorway for the cafeteria, equip your remote hacking tool.
As you enter the main cafeteria doorway look to your right quickly and hack the Security Camera on the wall. Now, switch back to your usual weapon and take out the Splicers in the room.
On the right side of the cafeteria, on the table with the corpse, is an Audio Diary.
Chase the waypoint arrow, through the kitchen at the back of the cafeteria, and down the stairs. Take out the Splicers in the room, and then head through the broken section of wall at the back of the room.
Continue following the waypoint arrow through the various rooms, taking on any Splicers you come across on your way, and head towards the showers and the northern cellblocks.
New Goal: Defeat Sinclair & Find the Keycode.
Sinclair has locked himself in the security tower, and you will need a combination code to get to him. The code is split over two audio diaries, which can be found in the cellblocks downstairs.
Head towards the entrance to Cell Block D, but have your hacking tool equipped. Slowly go through the doorway and fire at the Turret waiting inside for you.
Grab the Audio Diary from the cell to the right of the turret. There is also another Audio Diary in the toilet of the cell opposite – this contains the first two digits of the door lock code.
Head downstairs and turn left into the South Quad cellblock.
To your right is a Security Camera, so hack this remotely as quickly as you can before you get spotted.
Go into the cell in the northeastern corner and crouch down to get through the broken section of wall to find the next Audio Diary containing the final two digits of the door code.
New Goal: Use the Key Code to Break In.
Head back to the security tower and enter the code to get into the office where Sinclair has locked himself in.
Use the plasmid to summon Eleanor to help with this fight, and take out Sinclair. This whole room is filled with petrol, so the Incinerate plasmid is quite effective.
Make sure you grab the Audio Diary from the table in here before you leave.
If Sinclair manages to get away at any point during the fight, just chase after him until you manage to finish him off, and then search him for the key you need.
New Goal: Use Sinclair’s Key in the Tower.
As Eleanor warns you at this point, using this key will release all of the prisoners; so make sure you are ready before you interact with the Security Override.
Before you do, turn around and you will see a Power to the People upgrade machine behind you. Get an upgrade from here before you use the override.
New Goal: Return to the Docking Platform.
Following the waypoint arrow once again, head back to docking platform, but be ready for the Splicers waiting to attack on the other side of the door.
Eleanor will help out with the fight, so everything should be fine.
As you get to the docking platform you find out that Sofia Lamb is trying again to sabotage your efforts. In order to escape, Eleanor will have to get rid of the water, and to do this she needs the help of the Little Sisters.
New Goal: Find the Paediatric Ward in the Therapy Wing.
Follow the waypoint arrow through to the therapy wing and make your way towards the end until you see the sign for the Paediatric ward and the Admin offices.
Go through the door on the right of this sign to get another Audio Diary before heading back to the left, in the direction the sign is pointing.
Go through the entrance to the Paediatric ward on the right.
New Goal: Secure the Paediatric Ward in the Therapy Wing.
You will need to secure the ward before Eleanor can get together the Little Sisters, so get ready for a Splicer attack.
If you head out of the end of the room be careful of the Turret to your left.
New Goal: Signal Eleanor in the Therapy Paediatric Ward.
Using the button on the wall give a signal to Eleanor to let her know you have finished and she can go ahead and get the Sisters together.
Depending on whether you have followed the guide exactly up to this point, and rescued all of the Little Sisters, or you have harvested some, Eleanor’s actions will differ here.
If you’ve been a good Daddy, Eleanor will follow your example and rescue the Sisters and ask for their help. If you’ve been a greedy little Adam-addict, then Eleanor will harvest the Sisters to feed her strength.
New Goal: Find the Paediatric Ward in the Infirmary Wing.
Follow the waypoint arrow back to the main lobby where you started this stage. Throw the summoning plasmid as you enter so Eleanor can deal with the Splicers in the room while you head through the Infirmary door.
As you enter the main Infirmary wing you will be attacked by a few Splicers, and you will also see a Security Camera on the wall at the end of the ward. Try and hack this from a distance as soon as you can.
As you follow the waypoint arrow along the corridor with doors lining each side, go through the final door on the left (opposite the entrance to Ward A) and grab the Audio Diary inside.
Once you have this, follow the arrow into Ward A and carry on into Ward B.
Ignore the stairs leading up to the Paediatric ward when you get to them, and carry on through the flooded ward. Be careful as you turn the corner, as a Rocket Turret will spot you from the far end of the room.
Shock/freeze this from a distance then run in to hack it, or use your remote hacking tool if you find that easier.
Jump through the window where this turret is to find a Power to the People upgrade station, and an Audio Diary on the desk.
Head back the way you came and go up the stairs. Equip your remote hacking tool before you go through the door marked Surgery – there is a Security Camera pointing directly at the door on the other side.
Keep the hacking tool equipped, as there is another security camera through the next doorway, on the right-hand side.
For another Audio Diary go into the Autopsy room, before you go into the Paediatric Ward.
New Goal: Secure the Paediatric Ward in the Infirmary Wing.
As with the previous ward, clear out all of the Splicers inside before signalling Eleanor to round up the Sisters.
There are a few Houdini Splicers that will bounce around the ward, as well as a couple of Alpha Series mobs to dispose of.
New Goal: Signal Eleanor in the Infirmary Paediatric Ward.
Head to the far end of the ward, down the steps, and turn around to find the bell to signal Eleanor.
She will run around the room inside either gathering the Sisters together, or gathering Adam from them…
New Goal: Return to the Docking Platform.
With all of the Little Sisters rallied together, or drained for Adam, depending on what path you chose to follow, it’s time to head back to the docking platform to get rid of the water.
When you get back to the platform, head towards the glass window where you will find Eleanor and the Sisters (if you chose the good path), or she will be alone (if you chose to harvest some Sisters).
New Goal: Survive Lamb’s Final Assault.
This is it, the final battle – but in all honesty, it’s not actually too bad.
While Eleanor is attempting to boil the water, you are on your own, but once she has finished you can use the plasmid to summon her again. She will let you know when this is ready – use it as soon as you can.
Freeze as many of the Splicers as you can to hold them back and then finish them off in whatever way you can that you find the easiest.
New Goal: Throw the Vessel Release Lever.
As soon as Eleanor tells you the water has finished boiling run up the stairs and throw the switch on the console, near the turret.
New Goal: Flood the Docking Platform.
The elevator to the lifeboat is flooded, so you need to equalise the pressure.
Two glass tubes, just overhead, will glow – shoot these to smash them and release the water inside, which should equalise the pressure.
New Goal: Get to the Elevator.
Now that the pipes have been destroyed, the room has flooded. Make your way underwater, following the waypoint arrow, to the elevator – and the final cutscene of Bioshock 2. Your journey is now over.
If you followed this guide, you should receive the ‘best’ ending, which you receive for rescuing all of the Little Sisters, and saving all of the NPCs should as Grace.
Unfortunately, I did not find all of the Audio Diaries, so some will be missing from this guide, which I now bring to an end.
