In part six of our Bioshock 2 walkthrough we arrive in Siren Alley.
As the train approaches we are introduced to a new character – Father Wales – and it’s clear we’re not welcome as a torpedo hits the train and leaves you lying on the ocean floor.
Sinclair explains that he is now in Dionysus Park, and you need to get to the pumping station in Siren Alley to drain out the park.
New Goal: Find Pumping Station #5.
Make your way across the ocean floor towards the airlock, collecting the usual items along the way, as well as some loose Adam.
Activate the airlock and enter Little Eden Plaza. On the right you will see a Big Daddy busy fighting off a few Splicers. Leave him to it for now and carry on straight ahead – there is an Audio Diary on the wall to your left, and an ammo machine to hack around the corner.
Remember to use your Research Camera whenever possible. Not only will it help you by providing useful combat info, but you can also earn an achievement for maxing out your research.
Head in the direction the waypoint arrow is pointing, and take the first corridor on your left and sort out the Splicers there, and hack the first aid machine.
Now get yourself ready and take on the Big Daddy to get another Little Sister. A nice easy way to deal with this one is to head
Head up the stairs at the back of the Poisoned Apple building, into the room and drop down through the hole in the floor. In the room at the front you will find an Audio Diary and the Handyman tonic – watch out for the Splicer that attacks from the outside when you do.
Work your way through the building, and hack the door control to get back out. Go back round, and up the stairs again and there is a corpse here you can gather Adam from. Lay your traps, or any other defences, and fight off the Splicers.
The Splicers will come from all directions this time, so be careful.
If you’re feeling brave, follow your Little Sister’s guide again for another corpse around the other end of the building, conveniently near a vent and a Gatherer’s Garden where you can spend your Adam afterward.
If you have followed the guide this far, and rescued all of the Little Sisters, you will now receive a small gift of appreciation, left in front of the Gatherer’s Garden.
The gift contains some Adam, a bit of cash and best of all, the Proud Parent tonic. It is worth equipping this as soon as you can if you intend to continue gathering Adam as this speeds up the process.
Get yourself some upgrades from the Garden machine – Cyclone Trap will come in handy while gathering as you can trap Splicers with it, or Hypnotize to set foes on to each other for a giggle. I’ll leave this choice up to you.
Once you’re done, follow the waypoint arrow to the Maintenance Area.
Activate the Security Bot on the floor to the left, and pick up the Security Command tonic on your right.
Watch our for another Splicer attack. Either stay where you are and take them out, or carefully move into the main room ahead and hack the Security Camera to your left for a helping hand.
Go up the stairs in the centre of the room, but be ready to shock/freeze the Security Turret at the top – hack this before it recovers.
Head to the locked door, indicated by the waypoint arrow, and pick up the Audio Diary on the floor to the left for a clue on how to get the door code.
New Goal: Find Daniel Wales at the Pink Pearl.
Follow the arrow back into the Plaza and head towards the entrance to the Pink Pearl. Be careful of the Brute Splicer waiting outside the doors.
Go through the doors, grab the Speargun and spears, and carry on where the arrow sends you. Take out the three Splicers as you enter the room – the Speargun is handy for this as it has great range, and if aimed well can often be an entertaining one-shot-kill.
There is another Audio Diary in the room on the opposite side to where you entered the room. Grab this, and then head upstairs to the next floor.
There is a turret at the end of the first corridor to your left, so shock or freeze this before hacking – this will come in handy later.
Follow the corridor round from the turret, and enter the room with the big double doors – in here is another Audio Diary.
Now take the stairs up to the next flight. As you start to go up them you’ll be attacked by Daniel Wales who will then run off. Be careful as you carry on up the stairs as he has left some Trap Spears.
Use your Telekinesis plasmid, or shoot them out of the wall before following the waypoint arrow again, taking out the two Spider Splicers on the way.
Take the first corridor to your left again, and get your hacking tool ready as you turn the next corner to get the Security Camera.
Go through the double doors to your right, and go to the right window. Pay 10 dollars, if you have it, to open the viewing window and fire your Electro Bolt at the control level of the door inside the next room.
Run out, and round to the door you just opened. Collect the items in the room here and hack the safe for some more goodies.
Now follow the waypoint arrow and into the room indicated.
Daniel Wales will run away from you again, leaving a few more Trap Spears in your way. Follow him, but before you jump down through the hole in the floor nip in the room on your left for another Audio Diary.
As you drop down into the room below, be prepared for two Security Turrets ahead of you. A bit of clever plasmid use and fast hacking will sort them out in no time if you are ready for them.
Make sure you grab the Hackers Delight 2 tonic as you enter.
New Goal: Defeat Daniel Wales.
As you exit this room, Daniel will make one last dash before setting a Security Bot and a couple of Splicers on you. Shock/hack the turret for a helping hand.
Wales is pretty much like any other Splicer, but with more health. Try and drag him around to the hacked turret from earlier, along with a combination of freezing/shocking him with plasmids.
Once he’s dead, search the body for the door code you need.
New Goal: Use the Keycode to Access the Plaza Hedone.
Follow the arrow back downstairs where you will find a Big Daddy. Take him out using whatever method you feel most comfortable with here, as it is a large open room.
A combination of shocks/freezing and either Armor-Piercing rounds or melee drill tends to work well.
Before you leave this room, follow the guidance of your Little Sister to gather some Adam from one of the corpses on the upper floor.
When you’re done, head in the direction of the arrow to go back to the Plaza and to the locked door from earlier.
New Objective: Defeat Simon’s Followers.
The power is out, so you will have to defend yourself until Sinclair can get it back on again. As instructed, check the Pneumo just by the door to get some Mini Turrets. These will come in handy against the incoming attack.
Set a few Trap Rivets around the stairs, and lay the turrets at the top – these will slow down the Splicers and allow you to attack from a distance, or keep them at bay with your plasmids.
Once the power comes back on, go through the door. As you come in to the Plaza Hedone a Big Daddy will burst through a door to your right. Take him out and then use the Little Sister to gather two more sets of Adam.
If you go into the room he came out from, you will find an Audio Diary on your right. There is also a corpse in here that you can gather for Adam. When you’re finished take her to the vent on the floor above.
Before you let her go, lay a few traps and get ready – a Big Sister is on her way. As this corner is quite small, you can either move out into the main room to allow a bit more manoeuvrability, or you can try to freeze her into a corner when she comes.
Once you’ve dealt with the Big Sister go back to the vent (if you moved away, that is) and turn around, so that the vent is to your back, and go straight ahead and across the wooden platforms. As you descend the steps, get ready to shock/freeze the Security Turret in the next room.
Go through the door behind the turret for a few items, and an Audio Diary and a safe to hack.
Follow the waypoint arrow out onto the upper platform where you will see a Brute Splicer below. Fire a remote hack dart at the Security Camera above the door, and take out the Splicer.
Drop down once he’s dead and grab the Audio Diary by the Gatherer’s Garden machine. Grab a few upgrades if you need them, and have the Adam spare.
Go through the door below the camera, and follow your arrow to the smaller room on the right, and proceed through that door.
Take out the two Splicers as you enter, and then the next few that attack. Continue down the small steps and you will find an Audio Diary at the bottom.
Look to your left and go through the door there. Hack the first aid machine at the end of the corridor, and then go up the stairs just behind you.
Follow the platform until you come to a room closed off by a gate. Equip your remote hack dart and fire through the gate at the door control panel in the room on the other side.
Head inside for an Audio Diary.
Go back downstairs, and follow the waypoint arrow through the large doors at the end of the main room.
Before you go through the door to Pump Station #5, go into the room on your left for an Audio Diary and a Power to the People machine. Help yourself to the weapon upgrade of your choice.
New Goal: Defeat Simon Wales.
Go through the door to Pump Station #5 and be ready for an attack.
Simon Wales is waiting for you on the lower floor of the next room, and a few more Splicers will also attack. There is a First Aid Machine just to the right of the door as you enter, so hack this quickly if you need it.
Stay on the upper level to start with, and let some of the Splicers come to you, while avoiding Wales’ attacks. It won’t be long before he comes up after you.
Use your freezing plasmid to stop him, and gradually wear him down while dealing with the other Splicers that come to join in the fight. Watch out for the Brute Splicer, and the Security Bot.
New Goal: Divert the Emergency Pumps.
Once you’ve dealt with Wales head to the bottom level of the room and grab the Audio Diary from the table at the end and loot the key from Wales’ body.
Go into the next room and pull the Pump Control level.
New Goal: Get to Dionysus Park.
Lamb will now override the pump controls, flooding the zone.
Follow the waypoint arrow back to the Plaza, through the areas filling rapidly with water, and avoiding the occasional Splicer attack.
As you get back to the main door leading to the Plaza it will burst inward, and reveal that the whole section is now completely submerged. Work your way through, and back out to the ocean floor until you get to Dionysus Park.
