Welcome to the boss battle guide for Batman: Arkham City. In this first fight, you take on Solomon Grundy as he uses electricity to heal himself and become more powerful.
There’s a lot going on here. Not only do you have Joker to contend with but also his henchmen and Mr. Hammer and a Titan.
When the fight begins you’ll be swamped with Joker’s goons. The easiest and quickest way of winning this fight is by clearing as many of the clowns as you can right from the outset before they start growing in number.
Keep on the move, racking together combos and using the blade-dodge move to ensure you don’t get hit as you move through the sea of clown-faced attackers.
By attacking the Titan Mutant you’ll be able to jump on his back and use him to plough through and kill some of Joker’s henchmen. Use an Ultra Stun to get on his back.
Watch out for the fun-house cars that drive toward you and try and knock you over throughout the course of the battle. Leap over them and be wary of Joker who’ll spend his time tossing knives and boxes at you. Keeping on the move and countering attacks will ensure you don’t pick up too much damage.
Use REC (Remote Electric Charge) blasts on Mr. Hammer while taking out the henchmen, and use your Freeze Blast to stun Joker so you have more time to take his goons out.
Once you’ve taken out his henchmen, run over to Joker and give him a right good kicking.
